Begusarai, Bihar: Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Tuesday alleged that a deliberate political conspiracy is underway in Bihar to malign Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s image by instigating violence and spreading fear across the state. Singh claimed the orchestrated attempt is being carried out by what he described as a “political gang.”
“A conspiracy is being hatched in Bihar to defame Nitish Kumar by spreading terror and committing crimes,” Singh said while addressing reporters in Begusarai. “Some people are doing this to tarnish Nitish Kumar’s image, and this is about to be exposed. It is happening through a political gang,” he asserted.
The Union Minister's remarks come amid increased scrutiny over recent law-and-order incidents in the state, with opposition leaders, including RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, criticizing the state government and accusing it of returning to a state of “Jungle Raj.”
Countering such claims, Singh said, “Those who were saying this is jungle rule—action is being taken here. What used to happen during Lalu Yadav's rule? Criminals would hold meetings at the Chief Minister's residence, and today Tejashwi Yadav is holding press conferences to defame Nitish Kumar.”
