Assam: Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi has raised concerns over the handling of the investigation into the death of singer Zubeen Garg. Gogoi claimed that despite serious murder allegations, the probe is not being conducted properly.
Speaking on the matter, Gogoi stated, “Assam Police has made serious murder allegations in the Zubeen Garg death case, but a proper investigation is not being conducted. Himanta Biswa Sarma is leading this investigation in a different direction.” His comments suggest apprehensions about political interference and the direction of the ongoing inquiry.
The Zubeen Garg case, which has drawn widespread attention, continues to be a matter of public concern in Assam. Allegations of misconduct or mismanagement in the investigation have intensified debates over transparency, accountability, and the independence of law enforcement agencies.
