Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh: Mayi, a visitor from France, spoke with deep enthusiasm about her experience at the ongoing Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. She described the event as a unique and precious tradition that holds immense significance not only for India but for the world.
"I was very excited to be able to go to the river and get the holy water. This is an amazing tradition. It's the only one in the world as far as I know," said Mayi, who planned her trip to India specifically around attending the Maha Kumbh.
Mayi, who has been in the city for a day and a half, expressed her awe for the spiritual gathering, which draws millions from across the globe. "We planned everything around coming to Allahabad (now Prayagraj) and being here for a day and a half. It's really precious, like a jewel," she added.
She further emphasized the significance of the tradition, stating that it is a vital part of both Indian culture and global heritage. "I hope this tradition carries on. It's important not only for India but for the world," Mayi said.
