Surgical Strike in Wake of Pahalgam Attack

By A Staff Reporter

Chandigarh: In a sharp response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, former Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Sarbdeep Singh Virk has called for decisive military retaliation, suggesting that a surgical strike against the perpetrators is now essential. Speaking to the press in Chandigarh, Virk strongly condemned the attack and warned of its far-reaching impact on Kashmir’s stability and economy.

“Peace and prosperity were just being restored in Kashmir after a long time,” said Virk. “Disruptive forces backed by Pakistan can’t tolerate a peaceful and prosperous Kashmir. This incident will cause a huge setback to Kashmir, which is extremely dependent on tourism.”

Virk emphasized the psychological and economic toll the attack could have on the region, particularly on the tourism industry, which had only recently started showing signs of revival. He argued that strong, swift action is not only justified but also necessary to uphold national dignity and security.

“It is imperative to seek revenge from the powers that caused this attack. Retaliatory actions like a surgical strike are extremely necessary now. Pakistan needs to know that India is not a weak country,” he asserted.
