New Delhi: In the aftermath of the BJP's resounding victory in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, former Prime Minister and Rajya Sabha MP HD Devegowda lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him the "strongest leader" and acknowledging his global recognition.

"He (PM Narendra Modi) is the strongest leader, and the world has recognized him. India is a vast country with 140 crore people from different cultures, languages, and traditions. The people of Delhi have given their mandate to the BJP," Devegowda stated.

The former PM also extended his congratulations to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda, acknowledging their combined efforts in securing the party’s return to power in Delhi after 27 years.

"They all have worked together for the success of the party in Delhi. I also congratulate the Prime Minister, the Home Minister, and the party President JP Nadda for this achievement," he said.

The BJP's historic win in Delhi marks a significant political shift, ending the decade-long rule of Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The victory is being seen as a strong endorsement of Modi’s leadership ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
