Speaking in Raipur ahead of the Chhattisgarh by-poll, former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel voiced strong criticism of the current BJP government. Baghel stressed that the by-poll holds great importance, as “the public of Chhattisgarh is feeling looted after the formation of the BJP government in the state." He raised concerns about a perceived decline in law and order, as well as the discontinuation of welfare schemes launched during the Congress regime.
