FM Sitharaman Highlights Policy Insights From Kautilya Economic Conclave

New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday praised the deliberations at the 4th edition of the Kautilya Economic Conclave, saying the event has contributed significantly to Indian policymaking and global economic engagements.

Addressing the inaugural session, Sitharaman said the conclave’s discussions and debates provide policymakers with valuable insights that enhance decision-making. “The 4th edition gives me the confidence that Indian policy making is guided by a good churn at the conclave, and the outcomes have not only helped us in policy making but also in holding global conferences,” she said.

The Finance Minister highlighted India’s role in hosting international platforms such as the G20 summit in 2023 as an example of how knowledge and policy insights from such conclaves have practical applications in shaping global dialogue. She noted that the exchange of ideas between policymakers, economists, and industry leaders fosters a deeper understanding of economic trends, challenges, and opportunities.
