Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday participated in a cultural event at Brihaspati Kund in Ayodhya, where she unveiled statues of eminent South Indian personalities Tyagaraja Swamigal, Purandara Dasa, and Arunachala Kavi. The event was held in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

During the ceremony, Sitharaman was visibly moved by the performances and joined in singing along with the artists, reflecting her appreciation for South Indian classical music and cultural heritage. The minister’s emotional response highlighted the significance of promoting and celebrating regional art forms across India.
