Patna, Bihar: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday targeted the Mahagathbandhan over its promise to provide employment to every household in Bihar, calling it a misleading and impractical assurance. He argued that the opposition had made commitments without understanding the ground realities.

“They promised to provide employment to every household, but then they realised that there are over 2 crore 40 lakh families in Bihar and only 23 lakh jobs in the Bihar government. We didn’t make such a false promise. We promised employment,” Fadnavis said while addressing a press interaction in Patna.

He emphasised that the NDA’s approach focuses on creating employment opportunities through investment, entrepreneurship, and industrial growth rather than unrealistic government job pledges.

Commenting on Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Bihar, Fadnavis said, “His visit makes no difference. He saw this during his last Yatra.”
