Fadnavis

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday dismissed as a “publicity stunt” the demand by Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge to ban Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activities in government institutions and public premises in Karnataka.
Speaking to reporters, Fadnavis said the demand appeared politically motivated and aimed at gaining attention rather than addressing any substantive issue. “Such statements are intended to create headlines and stir controversy rather than contribute to governance or public welfare,” he remarked.
Priyank Kharge had recently called for restrictions on RSS activities within government offices and other public spaces, citing concerns over the organisation’s influence on state institutions.
