New Delhi | Amid growing tensions in the Middle East, former Indian diplomat Navdeep Suri has raised alarm over reports that the United States may be preparing a military offensive against Iran, specifically targeting its nuclear facilities at Fordow. His remarks come against the backdrop of the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict, which has already heightened geopolitical instability in the region.

“We have heard disturbing reports coming out of Washington that the Americans may be getting ready to launch an offensive against Iran to take out its nuclear facilities in Fordow,” Suri said in a statement. “If that happens, it risks further escalation of the conflict, and the conflict could spill over into other countries in the region.”

The Fordow facility, known for its high-security underground uranium enrichment operations, has long been viewed by the U.S. and its allies as a critical node in Iran's nuclear ambitions. Any military action against it would mark a significant escalation and could provoke retaliatory strikes, not just from Iran but potentially from its regional allies.
