By A Staff Reporter: At the Dussehra rally held at Azad Maidan in Mumbai, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde addressed a crowd of supporters, reinforcing his government's commitment to the Dharavi redevelopment project. "Our government started the Dharavi project, and I want to tell the people of Dharavi that no matter what the opposition says, our government is going to give you good houses," Shinde declared, emphasizing the administration's determination to provide quality housing to the community.

Shinde did not hold back in his critique of former CM Uddhav Thackeray, stating, "Earlier Babu (Uddhav Thackeray) used to wake up, take a bath, and go live on Facebook." This comment aimed to highlight Thackeray's perceived disconnect with the people. Shinde asserted that the public had grown dissatisfied with Thackeray's leadership, which he claimed contributed to the downfall of Thackeray's government. "People never liked Babu's leadership; that's why they brought down his government," he remarked, implying a shift in public sentiment towards the current administration.

The CM expressed confidence in the future of the Mahayuti coalition, proclaiming, "A Mahayuti government is going to be formed in Maharashtra." His statement indicates a belief in the coalition's strength and its potential to lead the state effectively.

In addition, Shinde expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for granting the Marathi language the status of a classical language. "I thank the Prime Minister for giving Marathi the status of a classical language," he said, underlining the cultural significance of this recognition for the people of Maharashtra.
