Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate’s Ranchi zonal office on Friday launched extensive search operations across 18 locations in Jharkhand in connection with multiple high-value cases of coal theft and smuggling. The raids form part of ongoing investigations into a network of illegal coal operations that have allegedly caused massive financial losses to the exchequer.

According to officials, the searches are linked to cases involving several accused, including Anil Goyal, Sanjay Udhyog, LB Singh, and Amar Mandal—names that have surfaced repeatedly in probes into coal pilferage rackets operating across the region.
