New Delhi: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh on Monday outlined 11 key achievements of the ministries under his charge, highlighting the transformative role of science, innovation, biodiversity, and governance reforms in shaping what he described as a “New India.”

Addressing a press conference in the national capital, Dr. Singh emphasised the country’s strength in unity in diversity, describing biodiversity as an “exclusive resource” that is not only unique to India but also essential for sustainable development and climate resilience. He said the government is integrating conservation with technological innovation to meet environmental goals while promoting economic growth.

“Biodiversity is more than just a natural asset—it is a national resource that must be preserved and leveraged for future generations,” he remarked.

Dr. Singh also underlined the increasing importance of science and technology in public policy, pointing to recent successes in space, biotechnology, Arctic research, and digital governance. He said that India is now globally recognised for its scientific capabilities, with Indian institutions playing a key role in frontier areas of research and development.
