Puri, Odisha: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday expressed deep gratitude to the people of Bihar for what he described as a “historic and transformative” mandate in favour of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Speaking during his visit to the revered Jagannath Temple in Puri, Pradhan highlighted that a significant number of voters in Bihar participated in the electoral process for the first time, calling it a reflection of the country’s strengthening democratic fabric.

“In India’s democracy, especially in Bihar, so many people had never voted before,” Pradhan said. “Not only was there more voting, but after 20 years, Bihar's citizens also blessed the NDA, placed their trust in Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.”

The Union Minister noted that increased voter participation was a strong message of confidence in the leadership at both the central and state levels. According to him, the electorate’s verdict indicates a desire for continuity, development, and stable governance.

Pradhan added that his visit to the “abode of Mahaprabhu” was to offer personal thanks following the electoral result. “I have come here today to offer my gratitude,” he said, emphasising the cultural and spiritual significance of paying respects at the Jagannath Temple after a major political milestone.
