New Delhi: Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra on Saturday expressed concern over the ongoing rescue efforts at the site of the building collapse in Seelampur, describing the situation as tragic and logistically challenging. The incident, which has reportedly claimed at least two lives, has prompted an urgent response from emergency services and disaster management teams.
Addressing the media at the site, Mishra said, “The NDRF team is also present here, but this alley is so narrow that there is no other option but to remove the debris by hand.” He added that while the presence of emergency personnel is helping coordinate relief efforts, the cramped surroundings have severely hindered the use of heavy equipment.
“There is a fear that some people are trapped in the debris, so we are trying to ensure they can be safely rescued,” he said. He emphasized the urgency of clearing the debris while maintaining caution to avoid further harm to potential survivors.
