Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav has launched a sharp attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him and his party of being "anti-Dalit" and failing to deliver on promises made to marginalized communities. Yadav cited multiple instances, claiming that Kejriwal's actions betray his public rhetoric about social welfare.
"We have been repeating that Kejriwal ji is against Dalits," said Yadav, while addressing a press briefing. He pointed out that in 2013, Kejriwal had promised to make MCD employees permanent but failed to fulfill this commitment. "Not even one employee was made permanent," he emphasized.
Yadav further highlighted the departure of prominent Dalit leaders from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) during Kejriwal's tenure as chief minister, such as Rajender Gautam and Raajkumar Anand. "These leaders left the party, which speaks volumes about how Dalits are treated within the AAP," he added.
Accusing Kejriwal of making welfare schemes inaccessible, Yadav said, "They announce schemes but impose such conditions that only a few people can benefit. This shows their insincerity and lack of commitment toward the marginalized sections of society."
The Congress leader also criticized Kejriwal for making "big promises" without delivering tangible results. "Today, we are seeing many incidents which clearly demonstrate that AAP is against Dalits," Yadav stated.
