Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Highlights Sports Promotion at Thyagraj Stadium Event

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attended an interaction session with budding sportspersons and eminent sports personalities at Thyagraj Stadium, where she underlined the government’s focus on expanding opportunities for young athletes in the capital.

Speaking at the event, Gupta said the Mukhyamantri Khel Protsahan programme is in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to encourage sporting talent across the country. “Today, the Mukhyamantri Khel Protsahan programme is based on Prime Minister Modi's vision, under which our aim is to provide new opportunities to Delhi players... The Delhi government will definitely work towards achieving this,” she said.

The interaction session brought together emerging athletes with experienced sports figures to inspire and guide the younger generation. Officials said the programme seeks to provide structured training, financial assistance, and access to better infrastructure for Delhi’s players.
