Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Halts Convoy to Address Stray Cows, Urges Citizens to Feed in Gaushalas

In a compassionate gesture that drew public attention, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta halted her convoy upon seeing cows roaming freely on a city road. The incident, which occurred during her routine travel across the capital, highlighted her concern for both animal welfare and public safety.

Addressing the issue, CM Gupta urged citizens to act responsibly when feeding cows. “I appeal to all citizens—please don’t feed cows on the roads. It endangers both the animals and commuters,” she said. “Instead, visit gaushalas (cow shelters), where cows are taken care of in a safe and organized manner.”
