Patna: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday addressed a public gathering in Patna, expressing her support for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar and urging voters to back the coalition in upcoming elections.

“I’m here today because Bihar’s progress matters to Delhi as well, since millions in Delhi have roots in Bihar,” Gupta said, emphasising the close cultural and social ties between the two regions. She added that her visit was also driven by requests from Delhi residents originally from Bihar to support the state’s developmental journey.

Gupta likened the political change under the NDA to a shift from old to new energy sources. “The old lanterns are gone; now it’s the era of LEDs, and only Modi Ji can provide this energy and light,” she said, highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s role in driving growth and governance reforms.

The Delhi CM also framed the NDA’s victory as a “great Yagna” for Bihar, suggesting that the coalition’s leadership would usher in a transformative phase for the state’s development and governance.
