In response to several misleading social media posts alleging that Pakistan’s Fateh-2 missile had successfully targeted Delhi International Airport (DIAL), the airport authority has issued a strong denial. A DIAL spokesperson addressed the claims, which had generated widespread panic online, stating that the airport had not been attacked and that there had been no casualties.
“We’ve received many such mentions wherein it is mentioned that Pakistan successfully targeted Delhi Airport with a Fateh-2 missile and there are many casualties,” the spokesperson said. “We express our strong disapproval of such irresponsible and provocative content. It is advisable to refrain from spreading false information.”
The spokesperson also reassured the public, stressing that airport operations remain normal and that there was no truth to the reports circulating on social media. “Passengers and the public are advised to rely only on verified official sources for accurate updates,” the statement emphasized.
