Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu: CPI(M) leader G. Siva has strongly criticized the AIADMK-BJP alliance, accusing both parties of neglecting the interests of Tamil Nadu and asserting that the people will reject them in the upcoming 2026 state elections.

Responding to remarks made by AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, Siva said the AIADMK leader has been actively touring the state and claiming that communist party members are present at his campaign events. Siva clarified that while public participation is widespread, the Communist Party maintains its strong opposition to the AIADMK’s alignment with the BJP.

He further accused the BJP-led central government of failing to support Tamil Nadu during critical times. “They did not give the education funds to the state. They did not pay the GST dues. They did not give funds even when the floods came,” Siva said, highlighting what he described as a pattern of fiscal neglect.

“The people of Tamil Nadu will never accept their alliance. They will definitely face defeat in the 2026 elections,” he added.
