In the wake of political reactions following the Malegaon blast case verdict, Congress MP Amrinder Singh Raja Warring has issued a sharp response to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), defending the Congress party’s historical stance against terrorism.

Addressing the allegations raised during a BJP press conference, Warring stated, “When did we ever let terrorists go? Gandhi and the Congress are the ones who sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism.” He further asserted that despite the BJP’s criticisms, “the nation knows that we laid down our lives for the unity and integrity of the country.”

Warring’s remarks are seen as a reference to former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, both of whom were assassinated in the context of complex national security challenges. The statement comes amid heightened political exchanges following a court verdict in the Malegaon blast case, a 2008 terror attack that had drawn significant national attention and political controversy.
