Congress Open to Accommodating Vinesh Phogat for Assembly Elections

Congress leader Deepak Babaria addressed recent party discussions and expressed a welcoming stance towards Vinesh Phogat, should she decide to contest in the upcoming assembly elections. “I don’t know if she has been approached by any of our leaders, but if she wants to contest, we welcome her and will certainly accommodate her,” Babaria stated.

He also outlined recent internal meetings focused on ticket distribution and party discipline. “In today's meeting, we discussed ticket distribution thoroughly. A meeting the day before yesterday included Ajay Makan, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Rahul Gandhi, where it was decided that names of those involved in anti-party activities would be reviewed by the screening committee,” he said.
