New Delhi: Congress MP Dr. Amar Singh has hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of spreading falsehoods and manipulating facts. Singh’s remarks came in response to recent events during protests near Makar Dwar, where BJP and Congress leaders have traded accusations.
“Falsehood is the base of everything the BJP does. They lie in everything,” Dr. Singh said, reacting to the BJP’s claims and countering their accusations of violence. He further added, “What did Rahul Gandhi say to anyone? They pushed Mallikarjun Kharge and we have reported it.”
Singh argued that despite months of protests, it was the BJP’s actions that should be questioned. “We had been agitating for so many days, did we block the Makar Dwar? Today they were standing right there. It is them against whom there should be an action, instead of us,” he stated, shifting the focus onto the BJP's alleged interference in the protest.
The Congress MP also demanded the release of CCTV footage to clarify the events that transpired. “We have demanded the CCTV. The police have said that they will gather the footage from us and also officially and then take action,” he said, signaling that Congress would pursue the matter further through legal means.
