Delhi: In a sharp intra-party criticism, Congress leader Udit Raj launched a scathing attack on fellow party MP Shashi Tharoor, accusing him of siding with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in both tone and sentiment. Raj claimed Tharoor has effectively become a "super spokesperson of the BJP," expressing views that align more with the ruling party than his own.
"Congress MP Shashi Tharoor is the super spokesperson of the BJP, and what the BJP leaders are not saying, speaking in favour of PM Modi and the government, Shashi Tharoor is doing," said Udit Raj, speaking to the media on Tuesday.
He further questioned Tharoor's grasp of India’s political and military history, asking, “Does he even know what the earlier governments used to do?” Raj alleged that the current central government is unfairly claiming credit for the achievements of the Indian Armed Forces, overlooking the groundwork laid by past administrations, many of which were led by the Congress.
