Delhi: With the Delhi Assembly elections on the horizon, Congress leader Udit Raj has launched a sharp critique against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Speaking about the political climate, Raj expressed confidence that the AAP would face defeat in the upcoming polls.
“This time the signs are clear,” Raj said. “The place from where Arvind Kejriwal started the registration of Pujaris (Marghat Wale Baba Mandir at Kashmiri Gate), he is going to lose from there. It may also be possible that he may contest from two seats.”
Raj’s statement comes amid heightened political activity and speculation regarding Kejriwal's electoral strategy. The mention of contesting from two seats suggests the Congress leader believes AAP is on the defensive, attempting to ensure its foothold in the capital despite growing challenges.
The Congress leader went on to predict that the ruling AAP would not return to power in Delhi, citing what he described as clear public sentiment against the party. “This time AAP will lose; it will not come to power,” he asserted.
Raj’s remarks reflect a renewed confidence in the Congress party, which is striving to reclaim its position in Delhi’s political landscape. However, the AAP has yet to respond to the claims, and the upcoming elections are shaping up to be a crucial test for all major political parties in the city.
