Congress leader Pawan Khera made a strong political statement, expressing his determination to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi sit in the opposition. Speaking about his vision for the country’s political future, Khera said, “I have a dream… Narendra Modi should sit in opposition now. Without defeating him, my ‘Tapasya’ won’t end. He should be sitting in opposition facing all the insults that we faced in the last 10 years.”

He further claimed that this transition would happen before the 2029 general elections, hinting at the possibility of mid-term elections. “This is a very obsessive dream I have… This will happen before 2029… We are going accordingly (mid-term elections),” Khera added.

His remarks come amid an increasingly charged political atmosphere, with opposition parties gearing up for upcoming elections and strategizing against the BJP-led government. Congress has been vocal in its criticism of the Modi government on various issues, including governance, economic policies, and social justice concerns.
