Delhi: Congress leader Akhilesh Prasad Singh on Saturday criticized the recent youth-focused initiatives launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which are worth over Rs 62,000 crore. Speaking in response to the announcements, Singh said these measures come after 11 years and against the backdrop of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s 20-year tenure under the so-called double-engine government.
Singh highlighted Bihar’s poor performance in key sectors such as industrialization, education, and health services, noting that NITI Aayog reports rank the state 28th among 28 major states. He suggested that the package announcements are part of a political design rather than a genuine effort to address developmental challenges in the state.
