Delhi NCR: The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has issued an order to enforce the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) Stage II in the National Capital Region, effective from 8:00 A.M. on October 22, 2024. The order states, "In an effort to prevent further deterioration of the air quality, the Sub-Committee decided that all actions as envisaged under Stage II of the GRAP - Very Poor Air Quality - be implemented by all the agencies concerned in the NCR, in addition to the Stage-I actions already in force."

The implementation of GRAP-II comes as part of the ongoing efforts to address air pollution in the region, which has reached alarming levels in recent years. The measures included in Stage II aim to further reduce emissions and mitigate the adverse effects of poor air quality on public health and the environment.

As authorities prepare to enforce these regulations, residents and stakeholders in the NCR are urged to comply with the measures to help improve air quality and contribute to a healthier environment. The CAQM continues to monitor air quality levels and will adjust strategies as necessary to ensure public safety and environmental protection.
