LUCKNOW: Marking the occasion of Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday inaugurated the Vishwakarma Expo-2025, a three-day event being held from September 17 to 19 in Lucknow.
The Chief Minister announced a landmark initiative for the state’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, unveiling a mega loan package worth ₹1,32,000 crore. The move is aimed at giving a major boost to small businesses, entrepreneurs and local industries.
As part of the event, toolkits were distributed to 12,000 artisans and craftsmen under the Mission Rozgar Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana. The scheme is designed to empower traditional workers with modern tools and resources, enhancing their productivity and livelihoods.
Additionally, the Chief Minister handed over appointment letters to 111 newly recruited junior assistants, underscoring the government’s continued focus on employment generation and skill development.
