Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday expressed pride and admiration for Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla of the Indian Air Force, who is serving as the Mission Pilot for Axiom Mission 4, an international spaceflight under NASA and Axiom Space. Calling it a historic achievement, Adityanath praised India’s growing stature in the global space community.

In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister wrote:

“A proud moment for India. Heartiest congratulations to Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, the Mission Pilot of Axiom Mission 4, on this historic achievement. Under the visionary leadership of PM Modi, India’s participation in this international space mission showcases our unwavering commitment to scientific advancement and global collaboration. Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla’s selection and involvement in the mission is being seen as a landmark moment for India’s presence in manned space exploration efforts. Axiom Mission 4 is part of a series of private astronaut missions to the International Space Station (ISS), with increasing international cooperation at its core.
