Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him and the Congress party of repeated misconduct and disrespect toward parliamentary traditions. Speaking to the media, CM Adityanath referred to past incidents where Congress MPs allegedly created chaos within Parliament, causing injuries to senior BJP members.
“The country has witnessed the Congress's actions, including attacks on MPs within the Parliament premises. Is this conduct constitutional? Pushing and injuring elderly MPs—how can such acts be justified?” the Chief Minister remarked.
He further accused Congress of tearing up bills aimed at the welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and women, questioning their commitment to social justice. "When Rahul Gandhi tears up welfare bills in Parliament, is this behavior constitutional?" he asked.
Adityanath also alleged that Congress has a history of insulting Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. “Insulting Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar is in the nature of the Congress party. They owe an apology to the country,” he added.
The Chief Minister asserted that the people of India have consistently rejected the Congress party and will continue to do so in the future. His remarks come amid heightened political tensions between the BJP and Congress, particularly over parliamentary decorum and welfare policies.
