Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed district officials to carry out immediate relief operations in response to rain, hailstorms, thunderstorms, and lightning incidents reported across several regions of the state.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Adityanath emphasized on-ground monitoring and instructed officials to personally visit affected areas, ensure timely assistance to those impacted, and maintain strict vigilance over the relief operations.
“The Chief Minister has instructed that officials should visit the area, keep an eye on the relief work, and provide help to the affected people,” the statement said.
He also stressed the importance of assessing agricultural losses, particularly to standing crops, which are often heavily impacted by sudden weather events during this season. “The damage to the crops should be assessed, and a report should be made available to the government so that further action can be taken,” the CMO added.
