Mathura, 16 August — Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several development projects in Mathura-Vrindavan on the occasion of Janmashtami. Addressing devotees, he extended his greetings and highlighted the region’s historical and spiritual significance.

“I extend my heartiest wishes on Janmashtami. We are witness to 5,000 years of ancient history, with lakhs of devotees arriving here with rare devotion. Hence I bow down to this pious land,” the Chief Minister said.

He recalled his long association with Janmashtami celebrations, noting his visits to the Janmabhoomi temple and Radha Rani temple in Barsana during Rangotsav. “People are eager to do research on our spiritual heritage. Whenever the world faced adversities, people found peace by adopting this heritage. We are fortunate to have this legacy,” he added.
