By A Staff Reporter — Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a large gathering in Thane, Maharashtra, where he highlighted the differences between the BJP’s governance and Congress's approach. His speech underscored PM Narendra Modi's achievements, including the abrogation of Article 370 and rapid progress on the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. According to Adityanath, the Congress, in contrast, has failed to deliver on its promises for decades, creating divisions rather than fostering growth and unity.
"PM Modi abrogated Article 370, fulfilling a long-standing national aspiration," Adityanath stated, referencing the BJP’s landmark move in 2019 that revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. He criticized the Congress's statements about potentially restoring Article 370, asserting that "even the fourth generation of Congress will not be able to reinstate Article 370."
Adityanath also focused on the BJP's progress in constructing the Ram temple in Ayodhya, a project he noted Congress had delayed for 65 years. He credited the “double-engine” BJP government for accomplishing what other administrations failed to initiate, completing significant work on the temple within two years.
Further, Adityanath accused the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition of mishandling the COVID-19 crisis in Maharashtra, claiming they "created an atmosphere of anarchy" and allowed state resources to be misused. He emphasized that Congress’s politics have neglected the welfare of the poor, youth, and women, who, he argued, are now benefiting from BJP-led initiatives.
Adityanath’s remarks reinforced the BJP’s pitch as a party of action and unity, committed to uplifting marginalized communities through various welfare programs, while contrasting sharply with Congress, which he portrayed as a divisive force with limited achievements.
