Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday underscored the significance of the Indian Constitution, calling it a cornerstone of national unity and a testament to the dignity of citizens. Speaking at an event in Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister elaborated on the foundational role of the Constitution in shaping India’s democracy and fostering a sense of pride and respect among its people.

“The Constitution is the respect of the citizens of any sovereign nation. It is related to the dignity of the people. It is a matter of pride for us that the Constitution, which unites the nation from east to west and north to south, is a symbol of respect and dignity for the citizens,” said Adityanath.

He credited Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution, for establishing India as a democracy. “Babasaheb Ambedkar established this nation as a democracy by making the Constitution. It is because of his visionary leadership that we have a system that unites the diverse fabric of the country while ensuring equal rights and opportunities for all citizens,” the CM added.
