Jashpur, Chhattisgarh: In a significant boost to educational infrastructure in the tribal-dominated region of Jashpur, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday performed the Bhumi Pujan for two upcoming Nalanda campuses aimed at nurturing students preparing for competitive examinations.
Addressing the gathering, CM Sai announced that one of the campuses would be constructed in Jashpur city with a seating capacity of 500 students and an estimated cost of over ₹11 crore. The second facility will be built in Kunkuri with a capacity for 250 students, costing more than ₹4 crore.
“These centers will benefit children who are preparing for competitive exams — whether they aspire to be IAS, IPS officers, doctors, or engineers. They will be given access to all study materials, both offline and online,” the Chief Minister said.
Highlighting the commitment to accessibility, Sai added, “The facility will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
The Nalanda campuses are envisioned as modern, fully-equipped knowledge hubs where students from underserved regions will receive academic support and digital resources. This initiative is expected to empower local youth and bridge the rural-urban education divide.
