Hyderabad, Telangana: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today inaugurated the 'Chief Minister’s Cup -2024' at LB Stadium, Hyderabad, in a bid to promote sports and encourage the youth to take an active interest in athletic pursuits.
Addressing the gathering, Reddy expressed concern over the growing issue of drug addiction among the youth, which he described as "unfortunate and painful." He urged young people to avoid falling into this trap and instead, focus on excelling in sports to bring global recognition to India.

He emphasized the government's commitment to fostering athletic talent in the state, declaring that the Telangana government is taking full responsibility for providing the necessary training to aspiring athletes. "We want Telangana athletes to win gold medals on behalf of the country in the 2028 Olympics," he added, outlining a clear vision for the state's future in sports.
The Chief Minister’s Cup aims to identify and nurture young talent from Telangana, further boosting the state’s reputation as a hub for athletic development.
