Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy paid tribute to former Chief Minister Dr. Konijeti Rosaiah during the 3rd-anniversary commemoration of his legacy. Reddy lauded Rosaiah as a stalwart of integrity, fiscal discipline, and political inspiration, highlighting his immense contributions to the state and the nation.

“Rosaiah is a big inspiration for all of us to contest elections and deliver speeches in the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly,” Reddy said during the event. He attributed the financial stability of Telangana at its inception to Rosaiah’s prudent fiscal policies during his tenure as finance minister. “Telangana state was formed with a surplus budget of Rs 16,000 crore because of the fiscal discipline adopted by Rosaiah as finance minister,” he noted.

Revanth Reddy also shared personal anecdotes about Rosaiah’s supportive nature. Despite being in the opposition, Rosaiah upheld the dignity of democratic institutions and encouraged him in his political journey. “Rosaiah encouraged me with an intention of upholding the respect of the Council,” he remarked.

Acknowledging Rosaiah’s leadership during challenging times, Reddy highlighted the Congress party’s trust in his abilities. “Sonia Gandhi decided to make Rosaiah the CM in difficult times, considering his commitment to the party. Rosaiah's commitment held him high, and he adorned all positions,” he said, reflecting on Rosaiah’s illustrious political career.
