CM Rekha Gupta Inaugurates Apollo Athenaa, Asia’s First Cancer Centre for Women

At the launch of Apollo Athenaa in Delhi, CM Rekha Gupta said the institute will benefit women nationwide and globally, highlighting government focus on women’s health.

New Delhi: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday inaugurated Apollo Athenaa, Asia’s first dedicated cancer centre for women, in the national capital. The facility, established by Apollo Hospitals, is designed to provide specialized care for cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment tailored to women’s needs.

Speaking at the event, Gupta called the development a milestone in the field of healthcare. “I am very happy that a very significant achievement has been made in the field of healthcare today... Apollo has started the first institute for cancer treatment for women in all of Asia in Delhi. This will not only help women in Delhi but also women across the entire country and the world,” she said.

The Chief Minister further underlined her government’s ongoing focus on women’s health and welfare. “The government is proactively working on women's health and their happiness and will continue to do so in the future,” she added.
