Delhi: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday flagged off the Namo Run at the Yamuna Sports Complex in Surajmal Vihar as part of the Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025 – East Delhi. The run, centred around themes of road safety and fitness, brought together participants from across the city in an effort to promote responsible civic behaviour alongside a healthier lifestyle.

Addressing the event, Gupta said the initiative was a meaningful blend of sportsmanship and public awareness. “Today's event is a big step towards a safer Delhi,” she stated, emphasising the importance of combining physical activity with social responsibility. She added that linking sports competitions with road safety through the run was both “beautiful” and impactful.

“The objective of linking sports competitions with road safety through this race and encouraging people to follow road safety rules is very beautiful, and such competitions will be very beneficial in making Delhi safe and developed,” the Chief Minister said.
