Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid homage to the soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1999 Kargil War, marking the 26th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Speaking on the occasion, Dhami remembered the valor and supreme sacrifice of the armed forces who fought to protect the nation’s sovereignty.
“Today, on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, I pay homage to all the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice and offer my tributes to them,” Dhami said. He added that the day serves as a reminder of the courage and determination displayed by the Indian Army in the face of adversity.
The Chief Minister also reaffirmed the state’s commitment to uphold the ideals for which the soldiers fought. “On such a day, we resolve and pledge that we will always work in accordance with the expectations for which our brave soldiers sacrificed their lives,” he stated.
