Dehradun | On the occasion of Police Commemoration Day, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid heartfelt tribute to police personnel who have laid down their lives in the line of duty. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister lauded the courage and commitment of the state’s police force, acknowledging their critical role in maintaining peace, law, and order, even under the most testing circumstances.
“The police forces face many challenges. Even in times of disaster, our police have had to act promptly. Therefore, they deserve good arrangements,” Dhami said. Recognising the need for better infrastructure and living conditions, the Chief Minister announced a major financial initiative—an annual allocation of ₹100 crore for the next three years towards the construction of police housing across Uttarakhand.
Dhami emphasised that this move reflects the state government’s commitment to strengthening the welfare and morale of police personnel, who not only ensure public safety but also extend crucial support during natural calamities.
