Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday paid homage to former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary while extending greetings to people on the occasion of Teachers’ Day and Onam.
In a post on social media platform X, Adityanath described Dr. Radhakrishnan as a great educationist and philosopher whose contributions continue to inspire generations. “Humble tribute to former President, great educationist and Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary, and hearty greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on 'Teachers' Day',” he wrote.
The Chief Minister further noted Radhakrishnan’s “incomparable contribution in establishing Indian culture and Vedanta philosophy on the global stage and in building a modern, educated India,” calling it a guiding force for the nation.
Along with Teachers’ Day greetings, Adityanath also extended his wishes on the festival of Onam, highlighting the cultural diversity of India. He emphasized that occasions like these not only honour educators and traditions but also strengthen social harmony and unity.
