Patna: Union Minister and LJP(RV) chief Chirag Paswan on Sunday called on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, marking their first meeting since the NDA’s sweeping victory in the 2025 Assembly elections. Emerging from the meeting at the CM’s residence, Paswan said the interaction was warm and reaffirmed the unity within the ruling coalition.

“I met the CM, congratulated him and extended him best wishes. NDA registered a historic victory under the leadership of Nitish Kumar,” Paswan said, adding that a delegation of LJP(RV) leaders had accompanied him to express their appreciation for the electoral outcome.

Paswan said he was particularly pleased that Nitish Kumar acknowledged the contributions of all alliance partners. “I am delighted that the CM appreciated the role of every alliance partner in the NDA,” he said.

Highlighting the synergy between the allies during the polls, Paswan pointed to symbolic gestures on voting day. He noted that the Chief Minister had supported the LJP(RV) candidate at his polling booth, while Paswan himself voted for the JD(U) candidate in Alauli. “This shows that those who were misleading regarding JD(U) and LJP(RV) were just setting false narrative,” he said, dismissing speculation of friction between the two parties.
