Patna: Union Minister Chirag Paswan on Sunday expressed strong support for the latest Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms announced by the central government, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for steering the changes through consensus.

“With Mata Rani’s blessings, Prime Minister Modi has fulfilled the wishes of all Indians,” Paswan said, highlighting what he described as the inclusive and consultative nature of the reforms. He pointed out that the opposition had, at various times, made similar suggestions regarding taxation and compliance, and questioned their current criticism of the government.

“These are the same people who gave such suggestions earlier. The reforms were brought about with consensus. Criticise us when we are wrong, but doing politics on everything is not right,” he stated.
