PATNA: Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) national president Chirag Paswan marked the 25th foundation day of his party with a heartfelt tribute to his father, the late Ram Vilas Paswan, at the LJP office in Patna.
Speaking to the media, Chirag recalled his personal connection to the office, saying, “I have a lot of memories of this place. I call this place a home because I used to come here along with my father even when I was not associated with politics, and used to see him work.”
He further explained that it was no mere coincidence that the office, where his father had worked, became the designated place for his party’s operations. “It is a mere coincidence that when we demanded a place for an office, we were given this place where my father used to work. That’s why we decided to celebrate the party’s foundation here,” said Chirag.
The celebration at the Patna office was not just a commemoration of the party's history but also a symbol of continuity, with Chirag Paswan stepping into his father’s shoes to carry forward his legacy. The foundation day event was attended by party workers, supporters, and political leaders who celebrated the achievements of the LJP over the past quarter-century.
Chirag’s remarks reflect his deep emotional connection to the party’s roots and his ongoing commitment to honoring his father's work in Indian politics. As LJP moves forward under his leadership, the celebration marked a significant moment in the party’s journey.
