Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai launched the state's new Industrial Policy for the period 2024-2030, with a strong emphasis on fostering employment generation, boosting exports, and attracting investment. The new policy is designed to drive industrial growth across the state and ensure that local talent is employed and nurtured.

In his announcement, the CM highlighted a separate package aimed at providing additional support to both MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) and large industries. One of the key features of the policy is the establishment of a Corpus fund of Rs 50 crore to promote startup ventures. In a bid to encourage inclusivity, the policy introduces special benefits, offering additional discounts to women entrepreneurs, the third gender, Agniveer soldiers, and even surrendered Naxals.

Additionally, the policy promises to facilitate training and employment opportunities for local youth, with a training allowance of Rs 15,000 to enterprises that hire young talent from the state. The CM expressed that this comprehensive approach will not only boost the industrial landscape of Chhattisgarh but will also create a more inclusive and equitable economic environment for all sections of society.
