New Delhi: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, currently on a visit to the national capital, has extended a formal invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the state’s upcoming silver jubilee celebrations. November 1, 2025, will mark the 25th anniversary of the formation of Chhattisgarh.
Speaking to the media, CM Sai said, “I am in Delhi. I met PM Narendra Modi. This is the silver jubilee year of Chhattisgarh. 1st November is the formation day of the state. This is also the birth centenary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. So, we have also declared this 'Atal Nirman Diwas' in Chhattisgarh.”
Sai emphasised the contribution of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the creation of the state in 2000 and said the day will now be marked as 'Atal Nirman Diwas' in his honour. He expressed hope that PM Modi would attend the celebrations as the chief guest.
During his visit, the Chief Minister also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed the ongoing anti-Naxal operations in the state. “He was briefed on the ongoing fight against Naxalism in Chhattisgarh,” Sai said, underlining the state government’s focus on internal security and development.
